My daughter, Kathryn, and Jo enjoyed a great friendship throughout their years at Wallington High, and beyond. The friendship led to the introduction and welcoming into Sally and Pop's home, family life and holidays in La Clusaz. 

Our links and life's journey led to many memorable meetings.

One such was Jo and Rod's wedding celebration. Sally looked stunning (so did Jo!) in that little red figure hugging dress! Her joyous dancing in it stands out in my mind. 

Likewise, Sally's understanding and nurturing of Louisa's note taking and sketches when we 'girls' went to the V&A Christian Dior exhibition.

Another memory is of Sally holding Scarlett upside down between her legs and whizzing her back up! - what laughter and giggles!

Sally's hospitality was second to none - a warm welcome, a great meal, and humourous conversation.

The interlinking life journey of the Rickards and the Bancrofts has taken us through many shared meals in France, through marriages and births.  What a shock, just when we were thinking Sally was on the road to recovery, this sudden death is.

The sadness will be overcome by all the happy memories. Sally has been a guiding light and a constant star.
