Kingsnorth Church memories

Created by Caroline 2 years ago
As Sally’s Vicar from 2016 to my retirement last September, Sally was a much-valued part of our church family. She involved herself in many things, her wise compassion and strong sense of contributing to the local community through her organising church donations to Ashford Foodbank and volunteering with Community Café. Her baking will be missed! Sally would run a baking fundraiser all by herself. Sally was also a key part of our Café Church Team, always ready to think of a craft activity, often as much enjoyed by the adults! Sally was one of those people who would see a need and, if she could help, would quietly get on with it. She gave lifts to church to a good number of folk. She remains a shining example of faith worked out in action. It was a privilege to walk with her during the early part of her illness and reassure her of God’s love, forgiveness and presence as she struggled with being the cared-for, not the carer, this time. She was also a friend. Together with Pop and my husband Nigel, we shared a love of France and the benefits of living abroad.
QRest in God’s peace and in his everlasting arms, dear friend.
